Mayor Clint Hooppaw Announces Re-Election Campaign for Apple Valley Mayor
APPLE VALLEY, Minn. — Mayor Clint Hooppaw announced today that he is seeking re-election as Mayor of Apple Valley in the November 2026 election.
"Apple Valley is a remarkable community, and it has been an incredible honor to serve as your Mayor," said Hooppaw. "We have accomplished a great deal together, and there is important work ahead. I ask for the continued privilege of leading this community forward."
"Apple Valley works because we focus on the things that matter most to families: safe neighborhoods, great parks, a thriving business community, and a variety of housing options that welcome people at every stage of life," Hooppaw said. "And we do it by making decisions the right way- respectfully, collaboratively, and with an eye toward what's best for the long term."
Those values have guided Hooppaw's approach to some of Apple Valley's most challenging decisions. Rather than letting difficult issues divide the community, he has consistently sought consensus, bringing residents, business owners, and fellow council members together around shared goals.
Looking ahead, Hooppaw said his priorities remain rooted in the same principles: maintaining Apple Valley's financial strength and responsibility, supporting public safety, promoting sustainability, and focusing on the success of both the business community and residential neighborhoods; all to ensure the city remains a place where people want to live, work, and raise families for generations to come.
"Apple Valley's best days are ahead of us," said Hooppaw. "I am deeply grateful for the trust this community has placed in me, and I look forward to earning that trust again this November."
Mayor Clint Hooppaw has served as Mayor of Apple Valley since 2021 and as Councilmember since 2011. He also serves on the Apple Valley Economic Development Authority, the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority and is actively involved with the League of Minnesota Cities, Metro Cities and the Municipal Legislative Commission.
